Another very exciting year for instrumental music at Colo Vale PS begins in 2014.
This year we will have two bands.
The Concert Band will be for more advanced students, primarily those children from our 2013 band program.
We will also be forming a Training Band for the new students in our band program.
Between the two groups, we will have flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet and trombone players. Guitar, keyboard, drums and percussion players will also be an integral part of these ensembles.
LESSONS:
Lessons for flute will be provided by Ms Zoe Andrews, usually on Thursdays.
Lessons for clarinet and saxophone will be provided by Ms Melissa Reyder, usually on Thursdays.
Lessons for trumpet and trombone will be provided by Mr Jeremy Donaldson, usually on Thursdays.
BAND SESSIONS:
Training Band sessions, to be directed by Mr Donaldson, will be held on Thursday mornings at 8.00am.
Concert Band sessions, to be directed by Mrs Donaldson, will be held on Thursday lunchtimes at 11.10am.
We also welcome any parents and staff who may wish to be part of these wonderful ensembles.
